We currently have 10’8” x 6’ (325cm x 183cm) and 12’ x 6’9” (366cm x 206cm) available with more sizes to follow soon.

It’s Snowing at BCL

Our newest purchase for hire this winter are Snowmaster T1500 Mini snow machines. The T1500 Mini can move snow 3000 CFM with a variable speed control up to 2700 rpm, it's now the number one sold snow machine in the world.

A radical new evaporative snow machine that can be used at ground level as well as hung from a truss, this product offers the driest snow on the market. The T-1500 mini can send snow in the air up to 15m. Known as the Snow Zone Mini, it integrates with a high output fan in a swivel case, supported by a strong, bracketed frame. The T-1500 mini can be controlled onboard or via DMX.

ETC Source 4 Junior Zoom

We’ve had overwhelming requests from people wanting to hire a compact yet high output profile, so we’re very happy to be introducing some new ETC Source 4 Junior Zooms to the hire department.

The Juniors have a 575w axial mounted lamp which competes with a lot of 1000w profiles on the market. They also have a 25/50 beam angle and use a faceted dichroic reflector to remove 90% of the IR heat from the light source.

Nexus Church Upgrade to Clarity

We have had a long relationship with the team at Nexus Church assisting and advising them on lighting system upgrades for several years.

In the last 3 years the lighting system in the main auditorium has seen major upgrades including 6 additional powered lighting bars, a Look Solutions Unique hazer, 16 Selecon Acclaim fresnels (in addition to the 16 compact fresnels) new DMX data distro system, 6 additional Martin moving lights (bringing the total to 8), new drapes and cyclorama on tracks and 6 LED Tri Colour cans for CYC lighting.

The setup looked excellent but the existing Light Jockey control system was quite a let down for the operators. The church had been looking at other lighting consoles on the market for a few years, but the $20 000 starting price had been quite a deterrent. When Clarity appeared on the market 8 months ago it appeared to tick all the boxes in both power and affordability.

We supplied a demo system for a few weeks and the operators fell in love. They were able to pull more complicated looks than Light Jockey ever allowed, making it feel like a whole new lighting system on stage.

After the demo, Nexus Church purchased a VX20 Wing, VX10 Wing, a CT1 Dongle and 2 x Acer 23” Full HD touch screens.

LSC Clarity for Mac Now Shipping

After a long wait we are pleased to advise that the Mac version of Clarity is finally shipping. The beta testing has been going on for a number of months and LSC are very pleased with how smoothly the process has gone. Only a few bugs were reported and these were all easily fixed.
The first release for the Mac has exactly the same features and offerings as the newly released version 1.2 of the PC software. For this reason the first Mac release of software is also labelled Version 1.2 and from now the PC and Mac versions will track each other. In other words, if the version numbers of the Mac and PC software are the same then they will have the same functionality.
