BCL Suppled lighting to one of Sterosonics Stages, the rig included 8 X 8 way blinders, 6 X 4 way blinders, 36 VNSP Par 64’s, 6 X martin atomics 3000, Glux p20 led screen, 8 X Martin mac 600 washes.

BCL was sent the design and quoted a solution within the clients budget. after a test run in the office we found the only way we could support the LED screen was through creating a Global flat truss frame in which we add two sections of pipe onto and this is what we mounted the screen off.

The way the Glux frames lock together enabled us to support the screen down the two top runs.

It was a time consuming setup, however the end result we were after was achieved.

Kickboxing

BCL has supplied lighting for kickboxing over many years, In december we decided to mix up the lighting for the show adding in beam kits, 2 way blinders and the Glux p 12 LED screen.

These all made a huge difference with the screen being able to be the main feature as the fighters walked down the cat walk. This rig has gone through many stages of development from the first design. The client was Extremely impressed with the wow factor produced by the beam kits.

BCL is looking forward to seeing how else we can improve this rig for the next big kickboxing event being broadcasted on Foxtel.

Woodford Fold Festival Black Dramatics

BCL supplied lighting to over 7 venues at Woodford Folk Festival 2011/2012. One of these venues was BlackDramatics, this venue is an air conditioned hocker for acts such as theatre companies, concerts, Drama and a few left of field artists. As the venue involved many different types of acts the lighting was in particularly important.

The hocker made lighting this stage extremely difficult due to the trim heigh we would have gotten out of a standard grid setup about 1.8m off the stage, this meant we needed a new solution. after looking into a few options we had some global truss hocker corners manufactured which enable us to get the back cyc to a height of 4m!. and the side lighting to a height just over 2m. this really is a great solution for hockers, it enable the lighting to be used differently for every act.

The venue was controlled through a Road Hog due to its fast programming capabilities. lighting consisted of 8 x 1200w fresnels, 12 x 650 acclaim fresnels, 24 x LED TRI colour Multipars, 6 x Mac 250 washes, 2 x mac 550 spots, 4 X mac 250 kryptons.

Woodford Folk Festival Amphitheatre

BCL Supplied lighting for Wordford Folk Festival Amphitheatre, providing a complete lightning and LED Video wall package.

The Glux p20 Screen worked a treat and was bright enough for day time use. BCL has been very happy using the Glux screen, Its light weight and relatively easy to use to find out more about what LED Screens BCL can offer you view our screen page.

The lighting was designed and operated by Regan Hammond who had many factors to consider when designing the rig.

The lighting rig consisted of over 100 par 64’s using VNSP and MFL lamps, 14 x mac 2000, 6 x mac 600, 4 x martin atomics, 8 x LED TRI Colour multipars, 8 x 4 way Blinders.

The rig was visually impacting and the screen added a new wow factor to the amphitheatre.
